Another
week passes in the year 2001. Can you believe that 2001 is almost
over? I love this time of year. The holiday season is fast
approaching.
Just
a heads up on what's going on over here. I've added/updated a few
of the member sites entries (sorry it took so long) and I'm about to start
pruning this site down. I've noticed that there are a few places
where there are too many different links to click for the same subject.
Do we really need 100 different speed tests? I don't think so.
I'm gonna slowly go through the site and keep the good stuff and toss the
dross.
Also,
I'm getting the itch to upgrade the server (again). I really don't
need to, but I just can't seem to keep my hands off the box. Here
is what I'm eyeing as the basis of my new server. Look at that
beauty. I'm not sure it I'll take the plunge, but it sure is fun
to window shop!

Howdy!
I am proud to announce that our forums have reached 400 members!
That is quite an accomplishment in my eyes. Thanks to all the members
of the forums who make this website a great place to find answers to tough
questions. As a webmaster, it feels great to have a site that is
steadily growing. I wish all of you good luck on your own websites
and may you find hearty satisfaction working on a project that means a
lot to you.
On
a different note, I apologize for the lack of updates on this page, but
there hasn't been all that much to post and I haven't been able to find
much time to post anything (if there was anything to post).
As
many of you know, I'm a MD/Ph.D student which runs like this:
2 years
medical school (didactic)
4
years Ph.D
2
years medical school (clinical)
Right
now I'm just starting at Caltech as a 1st year graduate student.
Because of my lab research, I literally don't have time to do much of anything
other than eat, sleep, and research. Hopefully things will settle
down soon and I will be able to work on this site on a regular basis, but
for the mean time, updates might be a bit rare.
I do
check the forums
several hundred times a day so if you got a question, comment, or criticism,
please hit me up there.
Take
care,
Brian
